The success of FESTAC AFRICA 2024, hosted in Kisumu – Kenya, was a testament to the festival’s immense impact and historical significance. We showcased Africa’s cultural richness while fostering cross-border trade and investment opportunities, by connecting global business leaders, artists, and innovators to collaborate and develop lasting solutions.
It’s with this momentum that we embark on the journey towards FESTAC AFRICA 2025. Our theme for this year ; “Harnessing Health, Culture, Trade, Climate Change, Gender Equity, and Tourism for Sustainable Economic Growth,” resonates with the urgent need to leverage Africa’s wealth of resources —both natural and human—for the advancement of health and health-care systems in Africa, as a way to promote healthy and prosperous communities, not only within the continent but also on a global scale.
Further, tourism will continue to serve as a key engine for growth, as we promote Africa not just as a destination for leisure, but also as a cradle of innovation, cultural exchanges, and dynamic partnerships.
Over the years, FESTAC AFRICA has grown to be more than just a cultural festival. It has become a platform for meaningful dialogue, economic transformation and cultural renaissance, celebrating the vibrancy and potential of our beloved continent. Each edition has demonstrated the festival’s power to unite nations, drive economic growth, and amplify the voices of Africa’s creators, entrepreneurs, and change-makers.
FESTAC AFRICA 2025 therefore, will be a versatile platform for exploring the intersection of these vital sectors.
